Piero Coda is president of the Association of Italian Theologians (ATI), also Dean and Professor of Systematic Theology at the Sophia University Institute. In 1986 he received a PhD in Theology from the Pontificia Università Lateranense. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Boardof theCultural Project at the Italian Episcopal Conference.
Since 1996 he has been an advisor of the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, and since 2005 he has been a member of the Coordination Committee for the Joint International Commission for Theological Dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church as a whole.From 2000 to 2006 he was Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Theology of the Pontificia Università Lateranense.
He is the Director of the following series of publications: “Teologia“, “Contributi di Teologia” and “Universitas” (Città Nuova), “Scrittori di Dio” (with E. Guerriero, San Paolo), “Koinonia” (with A. Giordano, Pazzini) and “Saggi di Cristologia” (with C. Pagazzi and A. Cozzi, Cittadella Editrice).
