Prof. Sergio Itzhak Minerbi was born in Rome and immigrated to Palestine in 1947. He taught at the University of Jerusalem and served as Israel’s ambassador to the Ivory Coast and to Belgium. He specializes in relations between the Catholic Church and the Jews, and is the author of many books and articles on Israel history and diplomacy.
